Luke Legs is a young Melbourne based, country inspired singer/songwriter and an emerging star.

In early 2011 Luke Legs and his band, The Midnight Specials released a remarkable alt-country album titled Why Oh Why? (My Caroline). The breakthrough album has been spinning on JJJ, RRR, PBS, ABC and shows a band who are serious about songwriting.

The album was recorded in Melbourne, over a year by Davin Pidoto who has worked with Neil Young, as well as many others. In the words of Dan Watt (Beat Magazine) the album combines the Irish heart of the Pogues, with the depth and melting lyricism of Gillian Welch and Ryan Adams.

Luke Legs & the Midnight Specials have been praised for their endeering live performances, and their family-band-style harmonies. But in the end it is the quality of songwriting and depth of lyricism that has set them apart from other bands.

Luke Legs & the Midnight Specials took to the road in early 2011 with a series of performances around Australia, many selling out weeks before the event. They have performed at major Festivals (Falls Festival, Ridgy Didge), and have supported a number of highly regarded Australian acts (Clare Bowditch, The Audreys, Mia Dyson).
