British Sea Power perform their highly acclaimed soundtrack to the 1934 documentary film, 'Man of Aran', live at the Union Chapel in Islington on 27 April 2010.

The track featured here is 'Come Wander With Me' and includes the only vocal performance on an otherwise instrumental soundtrack.

British Sea Power's 'Man of Aran' soundtrack is available on CD (Rough Trade) and includes a bonus DVD of the entire movie, with a choice of studio or live (Edinburgh Film Festival) versions of the score. I really can't recommend it highly enough. And if you ever get a chance to see this performed live, don't hesitate!

This was a really powerful and moving performance, that earned BSP a well-deserved standing ovation from the Union Chapel audience. With an opening (not quite) acoustic set from BSP and a support slot from Rose Elinor Dougall, it was a wonderful evening all round; thanks must go to the folks from The Quietus and the Branchage Film Festival for making it all possible - and giving us Jersey Royal potatoes!
