In September of 1979 MTV had yet to take hold of New Wave music and successfully transform it into a viable product ready for mass consumption. Channeling the energy of punk rock in an exciting new direction, this musical genre got a notable boost of recognition thanks to Minneapolis' Walker Art Center and their "No-New-Now-Wave Festival." Offering sets by The Fleshtones, The Suburbs, Dark Day and various other notable acts, this performance captures a key movement in music history the very moment before it exploded and forever altered the perception of modern music. Long thought lost, this footage has finally resurfaced to the delight of adventurous music lovers everywhere. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
