Daniel Matto (born 2 December 1978 in Adelaide, South Australia) is an Australian singer-songwriter of Italian descent. His music showcases a unique style of jazz through original compositions, standards and rarities

Before making his North American debut, Matto performed throughout eastern Australia in clubs and festivals in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and in New Zealand. Notable appearances included the Norwood Food and Wine Festival in Adelaide, the Manly Jazz Festival (Sydney), and the Tarunga Jazz Festival in New Zealand.

Matto migrated to Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2007, and performs regularly in clubs and festivals on Canada's East Coast. He has also had the opportunity to perform with Symphony Nova Scotia and the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra celebrating the songs of Frank Sinatra - 'A Salute to Ol' Blue Eyes'.[1]

In May 2010, Matto released his debut album "I'm Old Fashioned"[2] which was nominated for Jazz Recording of the Year in the 2010 Music Nova Scotia Awards and 2011 East Coast Music Awards.[3] Daniel's latest album "Groovin' with The DMQ" [4][5][6] was released in June 2013, and was nominated for Jazz Recording of the Year in the 2013 Music Nova Scotia Awards.
